CAT Score Vs Percentile

Reference Percentile Vs Score for CAT

Below is the reference percentile corresponding to score in CAT 2006 & CAT 2007:

CAT 2006
Section----------- %Score--------- Percentile

Quantz------------- 45.65-------------- 92.83
Logic & DI ---------51.00-------------- 98.25
Verbal------------- 24.00-------------- 94.30

Total --------------40.22-------------- 98.08

CAT 2007
Section -----------%Score --------Percentile
Quantz --------------21.00-------------- 84.13
Logic & DI ----------65.63 --------------99.69
Verbal --------------14.00 --------------71.28

Total -------------- 34.87 -------------- 97.68

A %score of 35+ in each section of CAT would be a good score to get calls from top B-School.
This is on the basis of last two years score, and the cut-offs depends on the difficulty level of the paper.

For Candidates with Work Exp
Candidates with work experience can expect call at much lower percentile which will depend on no. of years of work exp they have.Say a candidate with 2 years can get a call from a IIM at a score of 97 but a candidate with 2 years of work experience may not get a call from IIM with same percentile.
