XAT 2008 had following 3 sections to be answered in 2 hours:
1. Verbal & Logical ability 38 Questions
2. Analytical Reasoning and Decision making 38 Questions
3. Data Interpretation & Quantitative Ability 44 Questions
Total 120 questions.
No. of Options: Each question had 5 alternatives.
Negative marking: 1/4th of a mark for first six incorrect answers in each section and ½ of a mark for each incorrect answer thereafter.
Essay: At the end of the test you would also be asked write a short essay.
The essay topic in XAT 2008 was, “Consequences of Gender Imbalance - The Third World War”.
Extra 20 minutes were given for writing this essay.
